Thank You

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for my doodle yesterday!
It turns out I won the competition and I'm now the proud owner of this:

The D&AD 'Prestigious Limited Edition Puzzle Pencil' :D

Thanks again everyone, I couldn't have done it without you!

The Online Gamer

Hello everyone,

Sorry about the delay in posting but something very exciting came up - I went to an agency yesterday! The Driven Agency in Wilmslow were kind enough to give me a book crit and so I had to majorly prepare for it hence this late post. I apologise again though :) Thankfully it went quite well so now I just wait I guess?

My boyfriend reminded me the other day of this amazing video that went around a little while ago:

Excellent :D
Thankfully all my friends who play Call Of Duty are a lot nicer than that guy! The video is made by Reckless Tortuga and they have a load of videos online that are really well done so why not check them out!

Now, I am a huge Angry Birds fan and this next video I am going to post just blew me away and I really want one :/

How cool is that dad for making that, how cool is the cake!? It looks so tasty, even just the little birds would do me :) perhaps I should hint at my fiance a little bit as it is my birthday soon ... hehe.

The last video I'm going to post made me literally laugh my ass off :D I can say no more:

LOL! I wonder what he did to annoy her so much, but wow haha how awkward :P cringe-worthy but hilarious, I'm so glad they posted it! :)

Anyhoo, thanks for watching guys! I have another brief set - from D&AD this time - which I should probably work on right about now but I hope you enjoy your week and I'll post again soon :)

Cya! xx

Macro Kingdom III

Hi everyone,

I am so very proud of what happened yesterday, the big presentation and all :) everyone did really well and I'm chuffed for everybody! We truely deserved that drink afterwards ;) and the D&AD talk after that was not what we expected at all!

What we did see there was amazing. A guy called Shane Walter gave a presentation on him and his company called 'onedotzero' who do all kinds of things but I guess they're mostly into design and things and he showed videos of things that they do but instead of giving you the whole lecture (lol!) I'll just show you one of their videos :) I recommend checking them out because they have something for everbody.

They're really exciting and they do a heck of a lot of stuff so I'm glad I went to see the lecture :)

This next video is pretty crazy; it's called Nothing To Fear and it's a moving piece that I just couldn't resist posting here as I think it's nice and well done.

Thankfully the world isn't like this yet! But I can't help but feel really sorry for that guy lol but kudos for the animation, it really is very good.

I've mentioned before that I can be a sucker for science-y things and bits and bobs like that so this last video was really interesting for me but I'm sure anyone who watched it would be amazed at some of the stuff it shows. - it's called Macro Kingdom III.

Doesn't that just blow your mind to think that all that little stuff goes on without you even noticing :) for me it's so cool hehe. I'd love to know what kind of equipment they used for this!

Alrighty, I'd better carry on with the rest of my day which consists of more work but noodles later which I'm crazy for. If you're ever in Preston, try Wok 2 Eat, they are amazing lol

Cya soon x

Gambling Problem?

Evening all,

Today has been brilliant.
Not only did I find some great videos on the internet we got some fund raising on the go too :)
It turns out we (us advertising kids) have to pay our way to the New Blood show in London for our degree stuff later this year in which we have to raise over £1100!
I don't remember who came up with our first idea or how it came about but it turned into one of the most interesting afternoons I've ever had. Our idea?

To buy as many scratch cards as we could.

£45 later and we had our first set of tickets, winning £37 back we decided to carry on buying more. Unfortunately by the end of the afternoon we only had £1 left :(
Weirdly it turned out we had 6 numbers written on our board (how much we had won each time) and that's the same amount of numbers you need for the National Lottery. So keep your eyes peeled for Saturdays Blog as we may turn out to be winners from our final £1! lol

Here are some shots from throughout the day:

I also really needed to include the videos below. After coming across them on the internet I couldn't do a post and NOT include them.
The first one is called 'A brief history of pretty much everything' and someone put a lot of effort into animating it; I think it's pretty cool.

The second one is called 'Hello World' and it amazed me a little bit :) enjoy.

Cool huh?
Well that's me for now, I'd better go think of some awesome money raising ideas so we can get this show on the road :)

Thanks for reading,
Cya.
