Tickle that penguin!

Helloooooo everyone :)

I hope everyone is doing well. I certainly am as I finished my degree last week and have been enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation (though that stops next week when the job hunt begins!) It was a bit overly crazy at the end but I loved every minute of it.

So I'm officially a junior copywriter now and ready to be hired ;) but of course I'll never leave my blog behind :)
I've gathered some of videos from the past week that I rather enjoyed and hope that you do too!

The first one is just damn cute. I couldn't leave it out lol it had to be posted.

Doesn't it just make you want a pet penguin?! I don't think I've ever met a person who doesn't like penguins, have you? They are just adorable and if they make a noise like that when you tickle them then that's even more reason to love them! Awwwww.

This next vid is something I found amazingly funny :D

I thought it was a slight work of genius and needed it to be shared with everyone else! :) I wish I'd thought of it!

While I was on my quest of finding awesome or hilarious videos this week I stumbled across a Japanese commercial. I knew they were notorious for being a bit crazy when it comes to their television content but my God ... and so, I have posted the following 3 Japanese ads for your enjoyment! Hope you like :)

WTF is all I can say to those but they are just so entertaining it's unreal :D I hope one day that we'll get some experience making ads in Japan as I would hope it's just as crazy as the ads themselves! They're so weird they're good haha maybe we need to learn a little from them ;)

Excellent! Well I hope everyone has a fabulous week, I'm sure I will :) my future life begins now! Enjoy yourselves and I'll post again soon ;)

The Online Gamer

Hello everyone,

Sorry about the delay in posting but something very exciting came up - I went to an agency yesterday! The Driven Agency in Wilmslow were kind enough to give me a book crit and so I had to majorly prepare for it hence this late post. I apologise again though :) Thankfully it went quite well so now I just wait I guess?

My boyfriend reminded me the other day of this amazing video that went around a little while ago:

Excellent :D
Thankfully all my friends who play Call Of Duty are a lot nicer than that guy! The video is made by Reckless Tortuga and they have a load of videos online that are really well done so why not check them out!

Now, I am a huge Angry Birds fan and this next video I am going to post just blew me away and I really want one :/

How cool is that dad for making that, how cool is the cake!? It looks so tasty, even just the little birds would do me :) perhaps I should hint at my fiance a little bit as it is my birthday soon ... hehe.

The last video I'm going to post made me literally laugh my ass off :D I can say no more:

LOL! I wonder what he did to annoy her so much, but wow haha how awkward :P cringe-worthy but hilarious, I'm so glad they posted it! :)

Anyhoo, thanks for watching guys! I have another brief set - from D&AD this time - which I should probably work on right about now but I hope you enjoy your week and I'll post again soon :)

Macro Kingdom III

Hi everyone,

I am so very proud of what happened yesterday, the big presentation and all :) everyone did really well and I'm chuffed for everybody! We truely deserved that drink afterwards ;) and the D&AD talk after that was not what we expected at all!

What we did see there was amazing. A guy called Shane Walter gave a presentation on him and his company called 'onedotzero' who do all kinds of things but I guess they're mostly into design and things and he showed videos of things that they do but instead of giving you the whole lecture (lol!) I'll just show you one of their videos :) I recommend checking them out because they have something for everbody.

They're really exciting and they do a heck of a lot of stuff so I'm glad I went to see the lecture :)

This next video is pretty crazy; it's called Nothing To Fear and it's a moving piece that I just couldn't resist posting here as I think it's nice and well done.

Thankfully the world isn't like this yet! But I can't help but feel really sorry for that guy lol but kudos for the animation, it really is very good.

I've mentioned before that I can be a sucker for science-y things and bits and bobs like that so this last video was really interesting for me but I'm sure anyone who watched it would be amazed at some of the stuff it shows. - it's called Macro Kingdom III.

Doesn't that just blow your mind to think that all that little stuff goes on without you even noticing :) for me it's so cool hehe. I'd love to know what kind of equipment they used for this!

Alrighty, I'd better carry on with the rest of my day which consists of more work but noodles later which I'm crazy for. If you're ever in Preston, try Wok 2 Eat, they are amazing lol

Homeboy.

Afternoon everyone,

I've seen a lot of great videos and stuff in the last few days and I've picked 3 of my favourite to link for you :)
Before I do so though, any chance you could pop over to http://www.bahonsadvertising.co.uk just to check it out? Thanks very much :)

Now, onto those vids!

The first one is a clip of Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street - I never knew they could rap?!

The lip sync is awesome, congrats to the creator though it must have taken many hours of watching them two to get it right lol.

The second video is of the internet legend that is Antoine Dodson. You remember him right? 'There's a RAPIST in Linkin Park...' Well, these guys have remixed it and made it into a very catchy tune that can now be bought on iTunes :D check it out!

Word, homeboy.

The final video is my personal favourite and it's simply called 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Literal Version'. Enjoy.

Amazing how much the girl sounds like her; it's very clever :) I'm highly impressed. There are a few more literal music videos lurking out there on the internet so have a go at searching for some :) you might find your favourite song out there.

For now, I'm going to do some searching for myself so I'll post again in a day or two!

Sing Along Siberian Style

Evening guys,

Today I was researching Ekimo's for the MPA Roses brief and came across a video that totally made me laugh :) I didn't realise exactly what 'throat singing' entailed but with this video it became clear.

It really doesn't look like they should be producing those kind of sounds but this is what they do on a regular basis and to me it's not only interesting but entertaining :) top of the charts next week perhaps?

Tonight was also good TV night which is why I haven't blogged before now (midnight UK time).
The Apprentice was great tonight and I think the right person got fired based on their performance although some others could have claimed that spot too tonight :P Some of the inventions they exhibited were awesome like the Eco Shower or the Baby Glow, I think they had some scope and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of those around soon!
I was a bit disappointed that Rude Tube was moved til next week because the Million Pound Drop was on but I can't really complain as I've been watching it all this week :) we managed 6 questions today without losing any money ... but then it dropped. lol.

After all this work and blog and stuff I think a good film is in order :) tonight it shall be Howl's Moving Castle. I have a massive soft spot for those films and I'm gradually buidling up the entire collection and I'm not doing too bad so far.
I think they are amazing films and even in their original Japanese they just blow me away - the animation style and story lines are very well crafted.

This film is my favourite along with My Neighbour Totoro, you should check one out sometime, let me know what you think :)

So yeah, I'm gonna go watch!
